Snagged a Buy-it-Now Promodeler B-17G for $39.99…$8 shipping! Factory sealed too. Seen these puppies go off for well over 100 bucks. Im thinking they didnt know what they had![;)]
Nice finding deals like that!

couldnt believe it...got my search emails and started checking them out and there it was...just listed. If I didnt dive on it somebody else surely would`ve…think it was listed for a few minutes…dumb luck! The only time I saw this kit on a buy-it-now, it was listed for 60 bucks…been trying to get one of these for a looong time.
Well I snagged a couple kits on Ebay yesterday
SMER/Aurora/Monogram Fokker DVII 1/48
Monogram JU87D 1/48
The stuka seems like a deal but I don`t know about the DVII…is that a good price?
Man you did get a good deal. I finally snagged a Pro Modeler B-17G (factory sealed) last month, but I paid double that [:@] Still happy I got one! Though I did have to open it, as the box was a little smashed, put all is good, nothing damaged.
Nice timing on your part to get one so cheap, relatively speaking.
Great catch! Once in a while you get lucky and grab great deals. Sometimes you just have to have patience and wait[whstl]. I snagged a trio set of the 1/48 Monogram F-100, F-102 and F-106 in mint condition with the embroidered patches for $18 a piece including shipping. Not too long ago I picked up a factory sealed 1/24 scale Bandai George for under $28!
As I was paying for my kit, I noticed another Promodeler B-17…$19.99…regular auction. Who wants to bet what it will sell for? I`ll say about $65.00.
Got it in the mail today! What an awesome looking kit…great looking flight crew figures…10 in all…and it came with a small PE fret that I was unaware of! Also had a 1996 Promodeler catalogue,I have `em all except for 2…B-24D and He111 .
nice catch thats one that didn’t get away[Y].

It’s an EXCELLENT price… The Aurora Fokker kit was reboxed by Monogram in the 70s… Along with the Aurora SE-5 and Sopwith Camel… The Stuka’s running a skoshi-bit high, but the beauty of it is that you can build the D, or the G-model too, since it includes the pair of 37mm guns for the Gustav… They’re just not called out in the instructions…
Drawbacks are that the pilot figure is generally short-shotted, meaning he has a flat head, and both pilot and gunner figures have a large sink-hole in the chest… Fixable though…
The 37mm guns need a bit of work too, but not much… The guns have a sunken knock-out mark on the underside, along with an oval-shaped flash suppressor at times… But it’s fixable too… Just be careflu when you’re sanding the barrel parting seam, since that recessed pin-mark weakens it, making it easy to snap…
well I’m not planning a G model because I want to model Rudel’s Stuka since he was pretty famous for killing 500 tanks. Though if someone came out with a conversion set to make the Navalized JU-87 now that would be a version I wouldn’t mind doing.
