smoked screen canopies?

I just got my first hasegawa kit in the mail, and it looks impressive. I haven’t taken the parts out of the plastic yet, but it looks way detailed than the revel-monogram models i’ve worked on so far. (yeah, you were right, i’m hooked)

just glancing through the instructions (a little more complex at first sight but probably better to understand overall) and saw the canopy section. (clear & smoke options) I do like the smoke option, just in case i happen to screw up the cockpit, it could hide it a little bit. How would one go about doing a smoke finish?

nevermind, I just noticed a smoke canopy included (in addition to the clear).

i’m impressed by the layout description of the parts, so i don’t have to go looking for part number 51 which is smaller than a #5 mech. pencil lead thread. [:D]

the diagram showing the location and description of additional armament for the aircraft also will come in handy.

did someone say HASEGAWA ROCKS??? [8D]

if you like hasegawa, you’ll love tamiya aircraft. better fit and crisper details, just not enough of a selection.
