Smer Models

Does anyone have a comment on the quality of Smer Models from the ?

They seem to have a nice selection of 1/48 WW1 aircraft to pick from, and I must say just getting back into the hobby after some years I’ve never heard of Smer Models.

For me there’s a certain romance about WW1 aircraft.

It is my only humble opinion but, you might keep the decals and dig a hole in your garden for the remaining of the kit, box included; try not to dig near a water source, due to risks of pollution.

ROFLMAO!

What would you recommend for WW1 aircraft?

Smer are alright sometimes, but you must keep in mind that most of their catalog are reissues so you usually can’t blame them so much for poor workmanship as poor choice of kits to reissue.

The decals certainly are good, Propagteam products.

Don’t write them off completely, just expect to do a bit extra work to bring them up to what you can expect from more prestigious (and expensive) manufacturers.

I just say that Smer is for those who don’t mind getting their hands dirty and breaking a bit of sweat to get a kit to completion.
