Hello, I am a relative newb/noob? to “fancy” modeling…ie…airbrushing, washes, etc. I went down to the “Cave” to see where I was going to put the Vallejo paint set. This is what I saw…
LOL, cleaner than mine, and not as cluttered as some I’ve seen.
Amateur…
Ah, comeon G, give him time…
My apologies, Mr Morrison…post removed.
Now, now. I’ve seen pics of G’s bench, at least I think there is a bench under it. His reply is more in the line of not enough leftovers, supplies, in-progress kits, etc. NOT a critisizing type of comment.
Mine looked like that the day I built it. Never again.

Actually in the process of redoing “cave” hence, the graffiti. (niece and nephew…cheap AB) First coat of paint, then carpeting. Yeah, I know, carpet monster. But my exercise crap and recliners and TV need some “style” also. C’mon, it’s the only room GF let’s me call my own!
I wish I was so organized.
Organized is not in our definition as a model hobbyist.[:D]
If my bench isn’t a cluster then it means I’m not building enough.

I’m not proud…
Morrisons Third Law of modeling:
No matter how large your bench, there is always exactly two square feet of modeling space.
Make the most of it, won’t be that clean that often. I usually do apost build bench clean and that takes almost as long as the build. Youi have the begingings of a nice set up there, andthe skull and cross bones will be a nice reminder to be careful when handly chemicals.
2 Sq feet, HA,thats nothing… Cue for Monty Python 4 Yorkshiremen sketch [:D]
Same here!
The good part for you, Beav, is that your ratio of visible worksurface to “stuff” is practically 1:1. You only have to be concerned when you can only see the stuff and not the worksurface. Even at that stage, it’s still considered “normal”. So don’t worry about it. You’re fine.
Eric
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You have THAT much???
The sign of a busy mind is a messy desk.
My contribution (from an hour ago).

…and I’ve been slowly cleaning things up over the past week. [8-|]
I have a question for Morrison, if you’re seeing this.
I notice we both use Photobucket. When I click on my or the OP’s image, I get a busy Photobucket page with the ability to scroll thru a bunch of pics. I don’t want that.
When I click on your pic, I get your pic with a nice neutral grey or black background with the ability to do …nothing. I want that.
Can you advise what you did on PB to make that happen?
TIA, Greg
