I just picked up this WWII flight sim, and am slowly but surely learning how to fly. Does anybody here play this game?
I don’t fly that SIM, but here’s a good SIM forum site:

[;)] hope it helps
I play it from time to time, Priest. What do you need to know about it?
whats up rad max, long time not talk to. not really anything I need to know(well im sure there is). Im working on learning how to fly right now and its pretty tough but I was seeing who played so cus I thought it would be cool to fly with some real aircraft aficionado’s
Haha cool. What version do you have? I’ve got IL-2+AEP+PF. It’s a blast!
I have that version too, but I think I spend more time crashing than flying.
I just bought the new 1946 that i guess has all the games included as one, gave me a reason to dust off my seitek x52 that a bought a while ago for falcon allied assult(which I am embarrased to admit that I could not even get off the ground). I agree with not really flying just killing time until I crash, im still working on just randomly losing control of the plane. I used to be really good at flight sims before they had enough computing power to include physics into the thing. we all should get together and play sometime
Spend hours playing it, love it, best WWII sim you will find, hands down. Been flying it for 6 + yrs. The flight models of the planes are very realistic so plan on spending some time with it to LEARN HOW TO FLY.
If you cut your teeth on it , you will have a HOOT with it!!

cool, i know who im making captian of the team [#toast]. Im gonna keep trying, ive never had so much fun trying not to hit the ground. Its gonna take me a lot longer to learn this game then usual what with 40-50hrs a week of work, a baby on the way and of course working on my models but I figure I will be a decent pilot about the time people stop playin the game
I have 1946 also. I love it so far. Im slowly getting better at takeoffs, flying, etc… just have to get the landings down…lol Right now they really are a hit or miss and my crashes usually result from my bouncing as I touch the ground or the nose hits the ground as Im slowing down(which would be due to hitting the brakes too hard)
There are so many aspects of IL2 Sturmovik that I love. The players who develop new skins for the aircraft do wonderful work down to showing the wear of the aircraft.
The game is more geared for air combat below 15,000 ft. and gives good (not perfect) attention to low level bombing. I have used HE-111’s and Beaufighters as torpedo bombers. The game physics allow you to use skip bombing. Try it with a Stuka! Yes, the Stuka actually skip bombeb ships. Independently, the Italian Stuka ace Cenni worked out the technique and used it effectively against Allied shipping in the Med.

Hey guys, I just picked up 1946 today to add on to what I have. We should hook up online sometime and we can fly together!!
Dito, everything he said. Although some of the performance of certain planes are out of specs.
Dude I swear I have the best Idea’s! just not very good at seeing them through to successful completion so somebody should definatly organize this
I love the IL-2 series. I’ve been flying it since the original first came out and flew CFS and CFS2 before that. I’ve been flying with the squadron in my sig for about 3 years now. We have a blast every Thursday and Sunday night. We fly the most current version, 1946 ver. 4.08m.
Go to this site to download Hyperlobby. [link]http://hyperfighter.sk/[/link] It will allow you to find servers with others to fly with and against in dogfights and co-ops.
