That is going to be a real gem Pix…I’ve been considering a C-47 build this year in 1/72 scale. I have seen some photos that seem to show the load floor inside to be bare metal. Did you know anything about this possibility from your research on this bird?

Skytrain is really the best name for them, especailly after watching the scene
in “Band of Brothers” where they filled the sky.

wayne - thanks for the great pics ! Much larger and clearer than the one from which I was working. They’ll come in handy.
reggie - the panel lines are raised. I’m leaving them that way. There are FAR too many of them for me to attempt rescribing (at which I suck).
Joe - I’ve seen the floor of the cabin in Interior Green (what I used), plywood, black-painted plywood, and metal (undergoing restoration). I treated mine as a painted metal surface, figuring that a lot of heavily-burdened paratroopers would wear the surface.
