Skunk Models HH-60H

Hello everyone I’m new to FSM and looking through all the pages, I see a more helpful and nice crowd of people compared to the car forums I’ve been on in the past. There are some real fantastic built models on here, kind of intimidated.

With that out of the way, I thought I would post some pics of my finished Rescue Hawk. The kit is from Skunk Models, which uses the italieri plastic. Included was Eduard’s Interior color PE, which adds a really nice touch to the cockpit. There are some missing and off details with the kit, the cabin depth, APU exhaust position and the lack of avionics cooling vents.

The fit was exceptional, but the various clear pieces were kind of a PITA(especially using foil to mask). I decided to make the rotor assembly optionally folded. The AGM-119 isn’t 100% since i scratch built it out of styrene tube and sheet, kind of disappointed the kit came with the Pylon for it but no Penguin. Happy with how it turned out, for being my first 1:48 scale helo.

Nice. [H]

Never heard of Skunk Models.

Nice job

I have one of their Reaper’s waiting to be built

That is beautiful!! I need to pick one up, I flew HH’s for HSC-84… Great job!

Very nicely done! You made it so that the rotors can fold? Very impressive!

Thanks @Raven Morpheus their kits are nice, great additions if you want to make a diorama. @gunner_chris Thanks dude. I was looking into their Global Hawk kit, even though I’m not a huge fan of the Drones. Ha. @Scotty T very cool, my buddies dad flew for The Redwolves too when it was HCS-4. @stikpusher Thank you! It was a nightmare but worth all the trouble in the end.

Nicely done. Ive built the 1/72 Italeri HH-60 and if this is anything like the 72nd sample, it could indeed be a PITA. Good job!
