Skinless Tripe

Eduard’s 1/72 Fokker Dr.1 ‘strip-down’ kit. Superbly engineered, it’s mostly photo-etch with a few styrene parts – cowling, wheels, wing spars etc. I loathe working with photo-etch so this was a challenge. Think I’ll stick with regular styrene kits from now on

OH WOW, what a work of art!

I always wondered what it looked like naked. Thanks for the post. How you worked that rear fuselage is beyond me.

That’s an amazing looking build. You powered thru the hate. I dig stuff like that and I will be adding that to my build list.

I thought you were going to eat it. Tripe that is. Great build. Tiny

Very nice build. You aren’t the only one to “dislike” PE, and your build shows way more patience than I have.

Awesome pe work Mike ! Makes my eyes hurt just thinking about that! Very nicely done Sir!

Thanks a lot guys [:)]

Absolutely gorgeous!

That’s some intricate PE work in any scale, much less 1/72. And boy howdy is it well done.

WOW, amazing!!! I don’t think I could do that in 1/32nd, in 1/72nd you have some steady hands and good eyes.

This is 1:72?!? That’s amazing. Well done. =]

Incredable work mike!

Impressive, most impressive

One of the best Ive seen so far from you sir, and you did put up quite a high bar. Bravo!

Egads!! I was thinking what a wonderful sculpture - in addition to its being a heck of a beautiful model of an aircraft - and look how small it is compared to the Tamiya paint bottle. I looked at my Tamiya paint bottles on my work table and noticed that I had two sizes - 10 ml. and 23 ml. Yours is the 10 ml. That’s an insanely small gem you’ve created!

Mike ;

I laud your patience here .The result was and is breathtaking .Now see ! P.E. Isn’t something to be afraid of , is it ?

I have friends who don’t feel comfortable with P.E. Build " Metal Earth " Kits to get the feel of it .

I believe it works too ! T.B.

Holy Moly that’s amazing… My fingers are cramping just looking at all those spars
