Just tired of this one now. I have a really great set of figures for this vehicle, but I am going to put them on a different Mutt now. Just tired of looking at this model on my work table. Need to turn to something else.
O wow, that vehicle is excellent!
Nice job, but don’t feel you can’t revisit this project if you’re unhappy with it-life’s a work in progress.

MUTT looks great, only thing it needs is an antenna. Also, where is the steering wheel? I can’t see it in the pics if it is there. Figure looks like a turtle though. He looks as though he has no neck.
Somebody gave him a ballistic vest a size too large I guess!
The steering wheel had an accidental encounter with a heat gun. Need to aquire another one now.
I was actually taking the pictures and realized that I had forgotten the antennae … AGAIN!

Looks really good, and don’t feel bad about leaving it behind for a while, I’ve got several out in my room that are withihn a couple hours of being finished. Usually I’ll complete one between builds, or to clear room for another 98% project! [;)] [:D]

lookin good scorn! well done. the mutt looks great! if i may, id add a little more sand around the model, theres a lot of unused space on the base, and the models scrunched into the center of the small sanded section
Well, I agree that is a good idea. I actually just used what was left over from the Parking Spot diorama. If I get back to it someday, I might just do that.
The thing that jumped out at me is the gerry can on the fender with the spout at the back/lower than the contents. If there were any thing in it and the cap was not VERY tight, you’d have leakage.
As noted, the posture on the figure looks awkward. He seems to be looking at this like he’d never seen a Jeep before.
An easy improvement on these kits is to take a drill bit the same size as the lightening/vent holes in the rims and drill them out. (I’ve done 14-15 of these, including 3 Israeli vehicles) I’ll check and see if there’s a spare steering wheel in the parts box, but I don’t remember having one. Some “stuff” on the hood is pretty typical in the reference pics, as well.
The last one of these I built, I did drill out the holes.

Well if you ask me, and of course no one has, he’s going to shot the MUTT because it is going to get parted out. And that explains what happened to the stirring wheel and the antennae. Great work on the weathering and the figure looks great to me. The dry-brushing really bring out the details. Good job.
