Looks great. Lots of tension in the scene and nice placement.
Paint the bottom of the prone germans boots and the one that is kneeling and has his foot kicked out.
Clean the edges of your base up and paint it. You can do this with spackle or wall compound. Spatula it on the sides and smooth it out and wait for it to dry, then smooth it out with some sandpaper, paint it and seal it. This will clean it up and make for a nice presentation.
You did a great job on this one.
And the crowd calls for more!
Mike
Thanks Renarts, will take care of the problems, also noticed a seam on the laying down infantryman. The German figures are ones I did when I first started so they need some extra work, so onward and upward[:D]
You could do the edges with iron on or pressure sensitive laminate which you can find at Lowes or Home Depot. You can use a regular clothes iron or like me a monocoat iron which you can pick up at any place that sell’s RC aircraft stuff. Very nice diorama though lots tension with a good focus point.
Very realistic setting, Miller 41.
Your painting and placement skills are excellent!
Regards, Dan
Wow, I love the action or the tension as renarts put it.
If you allow me to suggest, you can put some dirt on the tracks or the road wheels to match the ground.
Great job anyway!
It looks great. Leave it alone and move on to the next one. Put this one on the shelf and the next one will be better They always get better
thats good advice muzzle, like you said I could be doing this for weeks:-)
But I have to fix some of it or I wont be able to sleep
Generally good composotion but the guy with the M1 is problematic for me. His left arm looks too long and the angle between the hand and the wrist looks off as well. What’s more problematic is that he is violating safety protocol by aiming his rifle right at his patrolmate!
let me say this. strickly from a person with no experience with dios, this looks great. others will give you suggestions as to what details need to be addressed but from my viewpoint it looks very good. i am going to be venturing into the world of figurines and dios very soon and i hope mine look half as good as the ones i have seen in this forum.

Great work here! I agree, lots of tension; the question “Who’s gonna see who first?” springs to mind immediately when looking at this! I also agree that the one pointing the rifle should be moved so he’s not aiming at his patrolmate. I think that adding another figure, either to the Germans or the Americans might help to reduce the ‘even’ look on this dio. One idea is maybe an Ameriican soldier with a radio, reporting back on the broken vehicle. Just an idea. It really looks fantastic, and is getting me motivated to build a small diorama base myself!
Thanks one and all for all the feedback. ajlafleche the arm in question really is the way it was made, I may \be could have shaved some length off it, but to my untrained eye it looked ok:-) You right about where he is aiming though, I will adjust him to the right some. Duke, I would have done that, but there is a shortage (at least in my stash) of american infantry figures, so I went with what I had. Also I am learning the longer you look at a diorama the more you see that you want to fix. If i dont put it aside I may never finish:-)
I used Vellejo acrylic paints for the american figures and they work great. Much easier to use than oils as far as cleanup and health and with practice I hope to have much better figures in the future.
Very nicely done thanks for the look.
Thanks for sharing. Looks really nice and the only suggestions I had have been covered.
looking good
