silver paints?

What is the best paint for represnting metallics?

I used Testors enamals both the old line and the model master, I’m not satisifed with acrylic metallics.

I’m hooked on Alclad II for metallic painting. The cost is high and the preparation before painting Alclad II is tedious, but the results are well worth it. Plus, Alclad II can be masked with removing it as opposed to other metallics.

My preference is Tamiya AS-12 BMF spraycan lacquer. Tamiya make a number of different metallics, all are durable and tough and as such can take masking readily, unlike Modelmaster Metallisers.

I’d say alclad. I’ve only used it once, but I got good results with it. I also tried a paint by Gunze-Sangyo called Mr Metal Color Chrome silver. It is a buffable paint that gives a good shine. You don’t even have to prime for it and can wash up with water.

In my experience, Alclad2 is the best NMF paint available. Second place would go to SNJ.
