Hey y’all(if you didn’t notice, I’m back on the forums from a recent hiatus)! I have a question…
OK, well, I had this really neat idea for scratchbuilding a cutting board for my hobby table. I would cover a sheet of wood with a nice layer of flexible RTV Silicone glue. I figured the flexibility would give me a soft, manageable cutting surface.
Well, it IS flexible, only problem is, my hobby blade cuts right through it, and still damages the wood underneath(something I was trying to avoid)!
So now, I have this MASSIVE tube of flexible RTV silicone glue, and I have absolutely no idea what to use it for!! Any suggestions? How does this stuff react to polystyrene? What good is it for?
That stuff actually makes a very good no-slip surface for boards, dio’s, anything with a solid base that you don’t want to slip off the table into oblivion. Also good for practical jokes, like gluing shermanfreaks fork to his plate or something.
