I’m officially announcing the 2011-2012 Sikorsky S-70 Series Group Build! Rules are as follows:
-
Group Build opens January 23, 2011 and closes December 5th, 2012.
-
To enter, post a reply with your kit(s) of choice and all detail sets used. (example: Academy 1/35 MH-60G Pavehawk, Cobra detail set, Eduard Photo-etch set)
-
All subjects must be in the Sikorsky S-70/H-60 family.
-
Any aftermarket upgrade or detail sets are accepted.
-
Limit 4 entries per person. For Dragon 2-pack builders: Since I love these kits so much, it will count as one entry if you build both included models completely OOB and include them both in your entry photo.
-
When you’ve finished your build, post a picture of it as a reply.
Here’s the badge: Once you’ve entered, post it anywhere.

I’m entering a Dragon 1/144 SH-60F Seahawk and HH-60H Rescue Hawk 2-pack, plus an Academy 1/35 MH-60G Pavehawk.
I would like to join up.
I have a 1/72 Hasegawa UH-60A VIP Hawk with Hawkeye Models VH-60N Presidents Hawk resin conversion set and decals …

John .
I realize it’s only been a few day’s since personman906 started this GB ;
I’m just a little surprised there hasn’t been a lot more participants joining up ???
I have a nice stash of [S-70] H-60 kits , I alway’s thought other modelers out there would have a few stashed away as well .

I would’ve liked to have built an Israeli H-60 with all those sensor’s added on but I think Isracast only make them for the 1/35 scale . I was shopping around on-line for prices on Academy’s 1/35 Blackhawk , about $65 , another $35 for the Isracast conversion and $28 for some pre-painted PE plus postage , It adds up to close to $150 . mmmmm , maybe ?
I hope more modelers join in !!!

Go to scalehobbyist.com, where you can get them for around $40, and about $8 or $10 shipping.
This is a long lasting GB! I have a lot to finish up in other GB’s but I wouldn’t mind building a Blackhawk or 2 for this after I get the bench cleared up a bit.
Right now I have a 1/48 Italeri MH-60K in the stash. I will probably get some aftermarket stuff for it. I will keep you posted.
