Sightings during the LHS rounds today (AFV CLub, Trumpeter, Dragon)

Did my weekly rounds of the local hobby shops here in Osaka today, and ran across these kits:

  1. 1/35 Dragon Early Tiger I. I think this kit was released overseas before it came out here, but we finally got it! “Nice” just doesn’t describe it. Pretty cheap, too…only $26 USD.

  2. 1/35 AFV Club Tiger I Late version. This one’s “nice,” too! Going for $28 USD. Is this out overseas yet?

  3. 1/35 Trumpeter Ariete. Very nice, and the only one I took home. At $20 USD, how could I resist?
Super-sharp moldings, and I’m glad to see Trumpeter’s engineering is improving. A very detailed kit!

The “German” T-34 from Dragon is out here, too, but I think it’s been out everyone for a while now.

And there’s the LHS report from Osaka, Japan! [:)]

There’s some neat stuff there, Brian. I’ve seen the German T-34 on the shelf here. I bet that AFV Club Tiger is sweet. I haven’t seen it yet.

Brian, the only one of those that is out in the States, so far, is the German T-34. Unless the DML Tiger you are talking about is the Initial Production 3 in 1 kit, which has been released in VERY limited quantities over here. The “main” shipment is supposed to hit next week.

Looking forward to seeing the AFV kit. Supposed to be a pretty fantastic kit.

How about posting some pics of the Ariete kit. I haven’t seen anything about that, and no nothing about the real deal, as far as that goes.

Thanks, have a good night over there.

The ariete is now in stock at Greatmodels.

Thanks for the update Brian. Now if we could just get our hands on some of these goodies. Semper Fi, mike

I am curious about the AFV Tiger. Did you get to peek in the box or anything?

My LHS has the Trumpeter Ariete stock as well as the new Trumpeter early war French Hotchkiss H3 tanks and the German Geschutzwagen. I want to order the AFV Club late Tiger, do you have any pictures of it?

erik, check out here under AFV club for some pics

Thanks Jason. I think I need to donate blood to buy the new kits that are coming out.

Hey, that’s a good idea!

Yeah, it’s a lot less painful than selling a kidney and safer than rolling crack dealers.
