I am building an Academy AH64D Longbow which came with what look like modified hellfire missiles, the fore control surfaces are a little different from the pictures I have seen, with this comes the question of how to paint it since I don’t really know what model or series it is. Does anyone know of some resource for the sidewinder missile? Generally I know warshots are white with black seeker heads, but does anyone know thier coloring with a little more accuracy?
there was a ‘modelers guide’ to all sidewinder missiles, including production model types (from 1st generation to 2nds to Captive Trainers), colours (including FS paints) and usage (history, which service uses them, and other interesting stuff), in the Nov 2001 issue of FSM. It was a pull-out type section. Naturally cos it’s from FSM I wont scan it, but if you know someone who has this issue, I’m sure you can borrow it off them.
