I had this revell spit in 1/48 I built 5 years ago. So after awhile one of the bottom roundels fell of and I had a spare sheet so I used it, everything was going well then I put micro sol on it (my second time using it),and it shriveled up somewhat whats going on ?

As far as I know, once you hit the decal with Micro-Sol, it will wrinkle somewhat but should even out as it dries. However as I have discovered recently, it doesn’t always even out as it dries!
Maybe I did something wrong, I smothered the decals with Micro-Sol (can you use too much?), went to bed with a smug look on my face expecting an excellent decal job. When I looked in the morning the decals were mostly very good but there were a few areas of wrinkling. Guess I should have smoothed the decals out as the solution dried…
From now on I’ll use the Micro-Set, monitor how it looks, and use the Sol sparingly, if at all.
I’ve used Future previously and it worked well, although the decals looked a little more raised on the surface than they do with the Micro Set/Sol system.

I dont want to mix things up, but I use the Mr. Mark version of Micro Set and Sol- called Mr. Mark Setter and Softer and the results are great. Even better, they do not cause the decal to shrivel or wrinkle.
