SHILKA , ZSU 23-4 , DML 1/35th (20 pictures)

Wow, man…that looks great! And OOB, to boot!

Makes me want to drag mine out of the closet. Heh.

You did it real justice! Love the looks of that machine.

Glad you guys liked it ! Its a pleasure posting my builds here !!!

Thanks again !!!

I would suggest getting ahold of the RB Models barrel set for the ZSU-23. It will definitely set the model off even more.

Yet another work of art, Shellback. [Y][:D]

Where are those available?

I get all of my RB Models barrels at www.jbmodel.eu

Great prices, and I get orders from him (from Austria) faster than via USPS from Squadron (in Texas). Go figure.

Very cool job on a very cool vehicle. If I were a NATO pilot this would scare the #@#$ out of me.

If my stash wasn’t already full to bursting I’d have to pick up one of these bad boys.

Thanks for the complements Maj and Gamera ![Y]

Yeah I got my Zeus(Nato codename for ZSU) barrels from there too as well as a 30mm cannon for the BMP2.

Very nice job!

Nate

Just saw this now. Love it. Its a beautiful finish, very strong contrast, just a pleasure to watch. I’ve built this old kit years ago, and you’ve definitely managed to make this cold war beast shine.

Nate and Zokisma thanks a bunch for taking a look and leaving your kind comments …its a pleasure posting here !

SHellback,

Beautiful work on this fine model. Your painting and weathering skill is well-noted and it would be a pleasure to see more of your work!

My only critique would be of your photo quality. Your photos have a really odd sepia-tinge to them. It must be something to do with either the photo background or a bad setting on your white balance on your camera.

I took the liberty of using one of your photos and simply running it through the “auto-correct” in Microsoft Office Picture Manager, and it really cleaned it up nicely. If anything it’s a quick fix if you can’t figure out the yellowing of the photos. Right is your original photo. I think the left, corrected photo really is more flattering to your finish?

Wow, that makes a huge difference…I wonder if I have that on my laptop somewhere.

Inspiring work there Carl, you definitely have a natural talent for taking older kits and turning them around.

Terry.

This is some fantastic work. The guns, chains and the way you shaded, everything made this build pop.

Doog , Teery and Rob … Thanks for the comments guys ![B][B][B] Very much appreciated .[Y]
