I finally made it to this point, turret has primer on it. The tracks are terrible, keep breaking apart. Here are updates.

I feel your pain,save your sanity this time and give these a try
One piece look okay on Shermans,not too much sag.Next time check out some tutorials on building indies.
Heres the way I handled my Tiger tracks
They are all glued together with Tamiya extra thin,I wait about 30 minutes,then gently bend them around roadwheels and put in the sag
The next day,remove them from the tank and paint and weather them
Once dry,reinstall them,close the gap and touch up

Glad to see you’re getting through this part. Tracks can be pretty tough depending on the manufacturer, but it looks like Tony has you pointed in the right direction.
