Sherman has a new home

Some of you may remember the last Sherman i done on this site, well he,s been given a home . I redone an old doi of mine to represent a colder period in time and added some german figures to go with the abandend tank. The men are lookin at a pin up picture on a magazine while the one on the tank is scourering the horizon for any Americans in the area.I will post some more pics on the dio site.

Fantastic.Is that a ‘Jumbo’ Sherman?

EXCELLENT!

Now… MO Pictures.

really nice, Bodge

As Steve said ‘Excellent’ !— but a sad,to often played out scenario for the Allies —there-- see — you touched an emotion— exactly as a diorama should!----

Wow, that really is a beautiful dio. I would also like to see more pics. [^]

Here you are then although it is in dios

Once again, Andy, you display amazing finishing skills on the armor, you really really lay on the effects, and the end result is amazing. The various shades and fades of that dead whitewash are really cool.

The base/groundwork is nicely done, with a depth of texture and varied heights and types of vegetation, not a single type of tree or bush or grass that I so often see, it looks random and natural.

Looks grand, I hope you had a nice vacation, your work and thoughtful posts were missed.

Bill

Looks right at home Andy on the reworked base. [tup]

Looks great! Really excelent work! [tup]

Holy Biological End Product Batman!

Superb, simply Superb…Kenny

Well i will tell you what you guys, your coments alone have made this seem worth while. I do enjoy modelling but to get support like this is the bee,s knees. Cheers very much, Andy.[:I]

Man, how do you crank these things out?

Fab-o-wous!

Im glad you guys like em cause they dont seem to like my stuff down my local club. they do have coments on them but behind my back and only to say this is wrong and that leaf is round the wronge way, that sort of thing. Its either they are jealous or they dont like me and if it wasnt for a couple of my mates Luftwoller and Big E i think i would have stoped going long ago. Sorry lads its just it gets my goat up when people are nice to your face and slag you off behind your back. There ive had my moan now and it doesnt effect you lot in the slightest just makes me feel better. I tel you if it wasnt for the forum i would have probebly thought whats the point and stopped modeling by now. thats how the club can make you feel and there is absolutely no modeling actually takes place there at all its all about making money from you and thier shows . Im gonna have to stop goin as it just winds me up every time i go there. Good job ive got some true modelling buds on this site, thanks lads you keep me going . Its just a shame i wont meet any off you as im on the other side of the world but hey the internet makes the world a small place. Cheers guys, Andy.

Hmmmmm…

Yes people are people wherever you go Mate! Good in the worst of us and bad in the best of us. I have only experienced the support of the Forums and guys I have met at the Shows.

California Bill and I talk at least once a day and are now picking out stuff for each other and mailing it to each other. I am mailing a DES Resin Chauffeur figure for his BA-20 build tomorrow, and he is mailing me out a T-26. It’s really cool.

I can only speak to your work and your presence on these forums Andy but I would be honored to call you a friend! Is slag you off behind your back English for talking behind your back I would imagine?

I think we should all meet at Rob’s house on the East coast and make him show us how to rust stuff up!

Anyway sorry you were hurt my friend. I have nothing but respect and awe for your work that’s for sure.

I can’t wait to see the cobblestone street finished. I used to put in pavers for people as well back in the day and it was fun honest work.
