I was just checking out Rafhart’s Munitionsschlepper and started to wonder with all the support vehicle kit’s out there has there ever been a GB on this subject and if not would anybody be interested in some thing like this?

Look’s like this is a go so here are the guide line’s

Any scale, country or era.

Any military vehical used to service or supply troop,s or other military vehical’s.

Example’s;Tank recovery,fuel truck’s,munition carrier’s,bridgelayer’s, radio veh.,field kitchen’s,CBRN detection vehical’s,crane and tow truck’s,jeep’s(no mg’s)

Kit’s must be unstarted all AM and scratch building is welcome.

[:-^] hmmm, redball express or several 1/48 scale German trucks like a Steyr Type 1500A/01 {maybe with a resin box or open bed, or a Kruppe Protze don’t have them, but willing to get them {hey I got a small stash [sigh]}

This would include all type’s of service support veh. Tank recovery,ammo hauler’s, bridge layer’s, cargo truck’s,maintenance,even field kitchen’s.

If any one has any suggestion for me on getting this going, Ehmmm… Dupe’s, SMJ,Tigerman,[:-^] I’d really appreciate it.

I don’t have eny support vehicles in me stash but I’d get one for this[:D]

Dragon Wagon and FAMO w/ trailer in the stash waiting to be built. I could be persuaded to build one of those if the time frame is right. [:)]

A Dragon wagon and a Famo Glamdring,Hmmmm…I might have to start taking this serious.I plan on building a Bergpanzer Tiger P.

I guess if enough of you are interested I will have to start thinking about rule’s,list’s,start date’s(not till mid june)and badge’s.Cool[^]

You’re on the right track friend. Just come up with a reasonable (not overly long) timetable and then add guidelines. I hate the word rules, sounds so grade-school. If you have a list of suggestions (which appears you’ve come up with some ideas) put them in early on in your thread so members hopefully won’t be confused later on. Good luck on this.

Thank’s Tigerman. The time frame I’m thinking of would be June 15 to Janury 15.

The rule’s, any scale any era any country as long as it was used in military service.

How’s about a MunitionsPanzer IV/F that just happens to lug ammo for a 54cm Morser, Karl 041? It’d have to be the both of them of course![;)]

1/72nd Hasegawa kit #31156 is in the stash. Actually all of these GBs mentioned lately have been my excuse to dig into the stash and hopefully earn some badges. But the GBs keep coming and this will be number four for me and right now I’m at ZERO. So I hope for a later time frame and even with that I hope I’m not overly optimistic about what I can complete?

But hey, we all need goals![:D]

In Army jargon, we call it Ash and Trash. Sounds like an interesting GB.

Oh man, what a great idea for a GB. The possibilities are endless. It could be anything without attacking armament. From a Gaz jeep to a Famo and trailer. Count me in for sure. How could i not when the start date (15th June) is my birthday. Hopefully a Famo will appear.

how about medical-related, such as ambulances? or CRBN-vehicles?

Recon would not qualify, usually armed, lightly but armed?

Once everybody has decided on thier build’s let me know now I’ve got to come up with a badge design.Any help with this part would be greatly appreciated.

CRBN is Chemical, Radiological, Biological and Nuclear reconnaissance vehicle. Like the W. German Fox used by several NATO nations.

It’s normally an armored vehicle of some type.

Rob, do you know of any kits for those vehicle types? I have only bumped into a couple Maquette RPM offerings in that area… Im a relative newbie, my apologies if I am missing the obvious, but the usual search and perusal of GreatModels et. al. did not show me anything… thanks!

Heres an idea for a name for the Gb what about the ‘Backbone GB’? They did recon that the backbone of any good fighting unit is its support group. As for a badge, ill have to start searchin the web.

Lufty,Patton did say that the backbone of any army was it’s supply unit’s but this GB will also include service vehicle’s.

As far as the badge go’s I’m going for something like a montage pic say a M88 in one corner an ambulance in another and a bergpanther and some other veh.to fill out the rest.I’m not computer literate enough to do this myself so any help would much appreciated.
