This Eastern Bloc designed aircraft was simple and robust. It was impressive because it was designed so quickly, and easy to build, fly and maintain. The fuselage was of unusual construction and the aircraft was constructed mostly of aircraft aluminum alloy. It featured a high mounted two spar wing and the tail configuration differed from that of the wing.The aircraft had manually actuated flight controls and hydraulically actuated flaps. The engines were electrically started and the nacelles differed at the front than where they mated the wing. The aircraft also had an internal fuel capacity in a specific area of the fuselage.
