Just a short note from an English guy living and working in Poland. To offer my thoughts and prayers for tomorrow to our American cousins,especially any New Yorkers out there. As Churchill said… “We will never forget” Lets hope that your guys,my guys and Polands guys( & GIRLS) come home soon.

I feel it will be a long battle. I just hope my Grandchildren will be able to live in a world where terrorism is a thing of the past. Not just in the U.S., but all over the world.

As an American living in Japan, I can tell you that the Japanese government is just as comitted to ending terrorism worldwide as the rest of the free word is.
We can win this battle only if we all work together to solve the underlying causes of terrorism while simultaneously striking the hate-mongers who falsely use those causes as license to indiscriminately kill and maim.
My hopes and prayers go out to all who have suffered throughout time, throughout the world.

At 8:46 EDT just take a moment to reflect. The people who died, the people who have been scarred both mentally and physically, the people who helped out unselfishly. NYC, the Pentagon, a field in Pennsylvania. God Bless them all.

If you ever get the chance to visit any of the memorials, do it. Over the summer I got to visit the crash site of Flt. 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania and to see the temporary wall that has been put up. It is just incredible the amount of things that are there. I can’t begin to tell you all the stuff. All I know is that cried.
I can’t believe its been almost 2 years since that horrific day. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, the victims family and friends. A special thanks and prayers to all our troops and troops of other nations, that are fighting to rid this world of the evil scum of terrorism. May there never be another September 11th.

Let’s also remember (and thank!) Canada, who opened her borders
and airports to hundreds of our aircraft who had nowhere else to
land on that dark day.
Has we pause to remember those who fell tomorrow. Lets also remind our selves this is a conflict we cannot afford to lose. Because if we do, our world will descend in to a dark-age the likes of which I can not imagine. So tomorrow pause, remember and reflect on those terrible events, fill your self with resolve to end the scourge terrorism, and if nessesary we should remember SEPTEMER 11 every day

After our Prime Minister decided not to offer up Canadian military personnel for the ensuing war in Afghanistan, we got quite a bit of trash talking from some Americans (including the ambassador) in the press. It was tough to take because the Canadian military is continually stretched to its limits in spite of the willingness of its troops to have been part of the operation.
In anger some folks forget the true scope of the human spirit, its not just in making right a terrible wrong by bringing the fullness of your might onto those who committed it, its also (sometimes more so) the compassion to take those who had the act commited upon them under your care and help them back on their feet.
When I look at society, read in the news about all the bad that people do to each other, what the latest assault or muder case going to trial is… watching the newscast on T.V. and realizing that sometimes the footage you’re seeing was shot by some money hungry coward with a video camera who would rather cash in by collecting money from the news station with their video of someone else’s suffering than to get in there and stop the wrong thats being done, I come to realize that sometimes the truest measure of a person’s courage is not how quickly they can take up arms against a distant enemy, but by how quickly they can open their hearts to a stranger in need or peril on their own street.
Its a big dangerous world and its not easy to help the person next to you sometimes.
I’m very proud of my fellow Canadians who opened up the airports, their homes and hearts to unscheduled landings and guests. Those planes had to land sometime, I’m glad we could be there and even happier for the Americans who voiced their appreciation for us opening our hearts in their time of need when others criticized us and called us cowards for not being a combatant in the war that followed 9-11

As the Psalmist says, “He shall deal out his vengeance upon thode nations heaping up corpses and He shall crush heads over the wide Earth.” (Ps. 110) or: Those who seek to destroy my soul, they shall go down into the lower parts of the Earth. They shall fall by the sword and be a portion for foxes." (Ps 63) Let us never forget. HE won’t!
