I know the activity isn’t allowed in this forum, but I’ve got some higher end ship models that were inherited that I’ll never build. I really don’t want to deal with creating an eBay type account because it just isn’t worth the trouble for no more than I have. Are there any discussion or trading boards out there that anyone’s used for such a purpose?

Pretty much every other model forum out there has a “buy, sell, trade” section. At least all the ones that I have browsed through.
I highly recommend Armorama’s section on trading and selling. I have done several excellent deals there. Good luck.
