Seeking M-1114

Do’es anyone out there know of a 1/35th kit of the M-1114 up-armored Hummer? OR…any Resin/Photoetched conversion kits?? I’ve had no luck searching so far. Another hunt without success so far is for a 1/35th Soviet ground mounted ZSU 23-2. Thanks in advance for any help.

No full kit. Mig does have a resin conversion set though. Here is a review of it at PMMS.

M1114 conversion

Just a heads up on the MIG kit. The kit doesn’t include the turret or gun shield, I’ve been waiting to see if someone will produce a kit with both.

Try Blast models of france. I’m nearly sure their kits cover all the stuff you need.

Regards.

Terry.

Blast doesn’t do an M1114 kit. Thier OIF weapons mount kit is not the correct one for an M1114 either.

I’m about 65% finished with MIG M-1114 kit now, ours had loudspeakers mounted over the deep wading stacks(which we threw away). & we mounted some Mk19 ammo boxes to the turret sides as ready boxes. Big tac #'s “62” & shamrock on the sides.

Banshee,

I just came back from Flushing after having dinner with group of friends. Are you with NYANG or active duty?

Hey Banshee: you with the 69th? I was attached to the 69th (Delta 1/101 Cav)

Yeah, B.co, we were next to you at Hood. by the way heres a pic of the BMP-1 we had at RPC(it still ran), little rust, but started right up.

I almost ended up with the 69th (fighting irish). I have quite a few friends serving in that unit.

Is Col.Slack still the B.C. ? I know some of the Cav troops are joining the 69th now the the 1/101 Cav is being deactivated.

The MIG Conversion is a good one, the weapons mount is just like the Hummvee I had, you just have to make the gunshield and turret shield, but that shouldn’t be hard (if you need reference picks shoot me an E-mail). for the ZSU-23-2 the Eastern Express Gaz-66 with AA (kit #35132) has one in it, I think if its a towed peice it might be called a ZPU, but im not for certain on that. Anyway its an OK representation, it looks like one, and as long as your not too picky it turns out pretty nice, you can find the kit pretty cheap on ebay usually.

Isn’t 1/101 Cav located in S.I. NY? One in S.I. Armory was having problem with getting officers to join for a longest time. I didn’t know that unit was getting deactivated. I should really get my lazy butt off of my chair, get in shape to pass the APFT and join 69th or 25th (light Infantry). I’d be lucky if I could do 10 push ups, 10 situps and 2 mile run in 25 minutes and then rush to a local emergency room.[:D] These days, I look more like a PACK MULE than a soldier.

HHC and Alpha Co. is in S.I. August the unit deactivates, and the 2/101 Cav reflags in Buffalo NY area. Much of it has to due with the state politics with the CAV moving West.

Nah, Col. Slack is gone( he’s working for the 69th Regimental Veterans corps, then on to Division G3), Maj. Crosby took over. I 've got Lt. Lefton in my company now. By the way anyone know a good source for 1/35 M240B machine guns? I cant seem to find any with the buttstock, excepting the ancient Tamiya guns from the “Pink Panther” kit.

Dragon’s Modern Machine Gun Set has two, listed as L7A2s, their European designation. There is also one in the Dragon Modern Marines set. These are actually M240Gs though, without front handguards. The handguard is pretty easy to add with some sheet styrene though.

You got Lefty, I was briefly in his platoon during the Mob process… I’ve been looking for a good 240 also…

[Nitpick mode] British Designation, actually. Most European countries stick with the given name of MAG, or MAG-58. (Mitrailleuse d’Appui Generale: General Purpose Machinegun)[/Nitpick mode]

NTM

European, British, close enough. I thought the Brits called it the “Gimpy” from GPMG? Either way, it is still the same MG.
