My gift arrived last night, delivered by an elf in blue USPS livery. Our host let me know that Santa had not indicated if it was wrapped for the tree, so it will remain in the plain brown wrapper for another 3 weeks. Will be fun and interesting to see what Santa selected.[G]
My giftee should be getting a delivery from an elf in brown come Monday.
I’m working really hard to get the gift from last year finished before the new kit arrives for this build. Last years kit was this Mig-23 in a red/black/light grey show aircraft scheme. I had hoped it was going to look amazing. I pulled it off the shelf the other night and hit it with a coat of Aqua Gloss and the red paint started running off into the grey and totally ruined the paintjob. I gave up on that scheme and will now be doing the other option for the kit in camo for the Polish Air Force. Fortunately, good ammonia based Windex made quick work of the rest of the paint and gave me a fresh canvas to start from. Here’s a picture of the kit, as was before the red paint was added in the previous build attempt.
Got the kit for my person this weekend. I’ll be sending it out today. LOL! I liked the kit I got them…I picked one up for me!!! Merry Christmas!

Tough break on the paint. But, for some reason I always think that the secondary paint work comes out better than expected in the end. I am looking forward to seeing the camo scheme.

I will have to wait until after the first of January to find out what special gift I’ve received. I leave on Saturday to Australia and do not get back until after the New Year.

I think my secret Santa gift arrived today. I genuinely couldn’t think of any kit or accessory I had ordered. I had a tough time explaining this to my wife as I tried to tell her I hadn’t ordered anything ( truthfully this time…I think). I do believe she’s heard the tale of the immaculate delivery before.

Even when I tell my wife I want to order something, tell her when I ordered it and when it will arrive, when it does arrive she asks “when did you order that?”[sml…]
I found out many,many years ago the system is rigged against the human male. You just go with the flow and hunker down and try to avoid the incoming and shrapnal.

Was told by our host that my giftee’s had arrived, and mine came couple of weeks ago. Keeps testing my resolve not to open the shipping box, but am holding out no matter what.
Haven’t received anything yet but there’s still plenty of time.

I can’t do anything with that pull down menu block in my way. I can’t start a new thread or send a PM. If anyone can send FSM a message about the problem that would be good. I see “Recent Threads” and “Categories” inside a large area that blocks the entire top of the page. This has been going on for a few days now.
Steve, I had the same issue. I clicked on the FSM logo, then community, then forums, NOW drag your mouse UP and let the drop down close, then it works, or it stays down. Not sure why the change, but I liked it fine before.
