sealing pastels

well i finally got the nerve to do some weathering with pastels. i just finished a lav 25 tua and i got to admit it turned out pretty darn good. now my [?] is how do you go about sealing the pastels or do you just leave it as is. i will put up some pics later today and may need someones computer smartness since i still can figure out the posting of the pic deal.[:D][:D]

I don’t seal my pastels. It really dulls the look you get.

Once I put on my pastels, I keep my hands off the model as much as possible.

Agree 100% with Latch … dust 'em and keep the fingers off 'em!!!

I will say that if you do seal them with some sort of dull-cote, I would stand back a couple of feet with the air-brush and mist the dull onto the model. Seems any closer and the force of the air will blow most, if not all, the pastels off the model.

Yep, the pastels are the final step. Once on, it’s display time [;)]
