Taking a break from my floaty thing for a while and am starting on my 251’s. question is i’ve always painted the inside the same color scheme as the outside. is this correct or not?
Correct you are.

The only deviation from this would be if this were an early 251, originally painted Panzer Gray, then repainted Dark Yellow in the field, in which case the interior would most likely remain in Panzer Gray.

When i did research for mine i discovered that the inside of a panzer gray 251 was white. im talking about the part that covers the driver. The rest was panzer gray.
From what I know Panzer grey was the colour you should be using
The intreior would be the same as the exterior base coat, camoflage colors were applied in the field (mostly) and were not carried over into the interior.
Peridexion is correct on vehicles repainted in the field.
rebelreenactor I believe this was correct for early war vehicles only but I may be wrong.
