I’m building a 1/76 Sdkfz 234. The one with the big 75mm open turret gun on it. I’ve been looking for some colour pics to see how to paint it. Was hoping to do a Africa Corps version. Any help would be greatful.
The 234/2 Puma never made it to Africa, PanzerIV… It entered service in '44.
I’m sure I can find a few coloured profiles for the beast if you are still interested…
Here is my photo of the one I built. I used the paint scheme from the normandy campaign as indicated by a book I read showing Panzer camouflage patterns. I hope it helps.

I thought that it might have been made in 44 as all the stuff I’ve found on the web. The kit I bought was an Airfix 1/72. And on the box it gave a brief history of it and said it was used mainly in North Africa for Recce and Patrol work. I think Airfix has got it all wrong as it looks different from a 234. This kit has mud gaurds that cover 2 wheels each where as a 234 all the wheels are covered by the same guard. Typical Airfix to get things wrong.
Probably got their brushes mixed up with the SdKfz 232 8-rad…
However, I got it wrong too, as it’s the 234/3 (with the short gun) and 234/4 (with the longer gun of the PaK 40) we are talking about here… not the Puma (234/2)… Less than 100 of each /3 and /4 were produced, but again only from 1944 (/3 & /4) and into 1945 (/4). So they still did not make it on time for any fighting in Africa…
