The 234 began production in 1943. This would eliminate all fronts befor this time including Africa.
I’m pretty sure it would have been seen on both fronts after that.

Actually these would have been in a base coat of dark yellow. All Vehicles produced by the for the german army were to have a dark yellow base coat I think starting in February 1943.
After this you can add some dark green and/or some red brown, or even leave it in dark yellow.
Try a search for sdkfz 234/1 in google images. Most of the pics are BLack and white, but it still gives you an idea of how they sprayed camo.
