SdKfz 223 Half way completed.

Thanks pmm736. I’ll limit the rust.

I’m 90% there.

I need to add the pe screens, the radar bit and stowage, but I want to lighten the overall color with a wash or 2 before the stowage. The decals are on, which was an adventure…I have never used decal set before. I laso attached the wheels which I plan to make dusty. I might have this on a base by tomorrow night.[:D]

Any suggestions welcome. The background is from a picture book of Slovenija - nowhere near North Africa, but it is better than a blurry shot of my living room. [;)]

Jifor,

Lookin good. Keep up the excellent work. Check out the Group Build for the 234 series. I thought maybe you would be interested. Let us know.

Thanks for the invite on the 234 series group build Smokin, but I’m in the final stages of a 232 series build right now, and then I’m afraid I’m going to be pretty busy with an up and coming group build starting in may I believe. It will be my third group build this year, and I have some other projects that I would like to get started on. Thanks again I appreciate the consideration. Semper Fi, mike

Yeah…there are so many good group builds coming a long. I might be interested.

Btw, I had a set back on this build. The wash to lighten the color somehow started smearing the black on the tires…I’m going to remove the wheels, strip the paint and start again. The rest of it is fin…the stowage will be attached as soon as the wheels are fixed.

yw18mc and jifor,

You two are killing me. Come on…whats one more??? Hee hee [}:)] You know you want to. Everyone else is doing it!!! [}:)][}:)]

Jifor…that sucks about the wheels. I havent been able to work on mine for about a week now. Hopefully today or tonight I will be able to. What color did you paint the locks on the stowage boxes by chance?? I have been thinking about those. Trying to decide what to do.

I used Humbrol #53 metallic. It looks different now with a wash, but that was the base color. I have also mixed it with Humbrol #70 for a mix of rust and metal.
