But i have this dragon kit. I was wondering if theirs any ‘solid’ color of it besides its Camo pattern?
Im just to lazy to look it up in references, thought it be faster if any of you folks knew.

Nice thing about German armour is you can pretty much do whatever you want with colors and patterns as long as they approximate the dark yellow, red-brown, olive-ish green, and Panzer gray.
Pre 1943, Panzer gray by itself was quite the norm, and after then, the dark yellow was frequently seen without the other colors, on all Wehrmacht equipment, including the SdKfz 251.
You almost never saw either of the other colors used solo.
Hope this helps!
Great thing about the 251/C is the time it was built and deployed…it straddles the Panzer Gray and Dunkelgelb periods, so if you just want a straight monochrome finish, you could go with either (and even throw in a whitewash finish over either color too if you wanted to) vs. a fancier 3-tone scheme and still be reasonably accurate, especially if you aren’t looking to depict a specific vehicle.
I believe dark gray was the standard base color until Feb. 1943 to be exact. This should help.
Boy I do love those 251’s!
Gray or Dark Yellow, you can’t go wrong. I build alot of these (11 to be exact) in both colors. My next 251 will be gray with a rough field applied dark yellow overcoat. These halftracks were used in all fronts for the entirety of the war. So, in essence you have a great deal of liberty when choosing color/camo combinations. Please post pics when you finish. I would love to see them!

Thanks Ryan ! ill post pics when done… might be a while, im a bit of a slow builder to say the least. ! LOL
thanks!
Thanks alot!
I am in the process of building an Ausf D. /16 Flamm. I sprayed it with Tamiya’s Dark Yellow, washed it with oils and drybrushed it with Yellow Ochre Winsor and Newton oils. I must say that it came out a little darker than what I wanted initially, but I really like it.
