Hey Guys,
I know this is a bit of a newb question but I’m taking a little bit of a break from modern stuff to work on my DML Sd.Kfz.251 Ausf.C (kit no.6224) and I’ve got mostly all the construction done, and it’s time for me to paint the interior but I’m at a loss as to which colour to paint it!
I’ve seen them done in dunkgelb to gray to off white and even light blue!
but I’m not sure which is accurate (I think dunkgelb is, but I’m not sure[%-)])
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Chris,
(EDIT: The outside of the vehicle will be painted in a Dunkgelb & dark green camo pattern and would of been partaking in the battle of Kursk if that makes any difference?)
Go with the exterior color. Dk Grey or Dk. Yellow
Chris,
Bill Plunk’s site worked for me.

Hope this helps.

Townsy,
ps1scw’s got you covered, the interior should match the exterior, especially on the C’s as these were earlier-war production models. It’s only later on some of the later models such as the /22 that there’s speculation about use of primer red for example.
I’m jjust finishing a Dragon 1/72 Sd.Kfz. 251/7 Ausf.C. Same colour as the exterior base colour. For Hanomags generally, only exceptions might be early Afrika Korps machines, which might have arrived in theatre in Panzergrau, and then have had their external surfaces only resprayed in Afrikagelb, and very late war vehicles, which might have their interiors in red primer, but their exterior surfaces camouflaged.
But I’d want photographic evidence for both of these.
Cheers,
Chris.
Thanks Ps1scw, Ibuild148, Bill & Chris! I was thinking it had a dunkgelb interior as well, Thanks for the help.
Chris,
