Very nice build. How’d you do the zim’?
Nice build there Marc, but the model can really use some washing to bring out the details.
And dont be shy to dirty up the tank; you know, chips, mud, rust. We loved them.
Zim was done by using a ready made resin zim made by Cavelier.
Ben
Thansk guys. Ben there is wash there but i tried not to over do it and the pics wash out a lot of it. I thinkmy camera is doing its swan song and may need to be put down soon[:(]
You’re really getting the hang of this armor thing aren’t you? Very nice build all around. Good camo. I know what you mean about the camera being mean. From the pics a little dry-brushing might not hurt either. Your a fast builder BTW.
How did the PE fenders go together? I have the Ferdy premium in the stash.
What’s next on your list?
[tup][tup]This is freakin nice work—weathering is understated but not too little for my taste…I have ref pics of actual vehicle and it is in pretty nice shape…rust is over-rated…lol…two thumbs up !!!

Thanks tigerman. I try a little dry brushing to highlight some detail. The fenders aren’t PE. The kit only came with plastic fender… 2 different sets… but plastic only. Speaking of PE jeez is some of that stuff small. The hasps and padlocks on the bin on the turret are 7 parts each. The 311 blade shows how tiny they are.
Here a some better pics taken with my daughters camera. The zim close shows the washes.

These new pic’s look a whole lot better Wing nut, maybe you should let you’r daughter be you’r official photogragher. LOL
I really need to get this kit to add to my Tiger collection cause you’rs look’s awesome.
Sorry manny… you slipped that one in while I was typing. Thnaks for the compliment. Would like to see any pics you have.
And to answer you question tigerman I am thinking of thepz kpfw IV f1(f)
But I may do a 1/32 sclae Frank… that’s an airplane [:-^] because I want to try the hairspay method to peel the paint as the Japamese planes are so known for.
THEN the IV F [:D]
I love 'em dirty but, nonetheless,
this is great work.
It really turned out super.
That looks sweet to me- the zimm really makes it pop. How does the Ford motor look back there?
terrible, just terrible, your camera as 2 spots on the lens…
the tank is great [#toast], but the lens could use some cleaning [swg]
Man, that’s one gorgeous build!
Those little locks look GREAT! They really add a “little extra”! The zimm looks top-notch, too!
Impressive!!
Thanks guys, I really appreciate your comments.
Dre, the grate and screens cover it just enough to give hint the engine is there. Not too bad.
Dan sadly thats not dust… it’s a digital… hmmm… flatus… that just appears. Used to be 1, now there is 2 and I am sure soon to be 3.
A very nice build!
How ddid you find the Cavalier zim? I found a Tamiya 1:35 King Tiger (Porsche) in my stash with theCavalier zim. Actually I found about 20 1:35 armour kits Ihad forgotten about completely, [:)] hidden amongst my 1:32 and bigger 1:48 aircraft kits.
I build 1:72 armour and I am not even going to attempt trying to add zim to my Dragon Panzerkampfwagen IV (P) as I believe there are no aftermarket alternatives.
You are correct, the camera is having difficulties with it’s processor, sorry to say.
Cheers
Mike
That’s a beautiful build wing nut . I’ve been looking at this kit for a while, I already have the cav zimm set for it. Is this the premium edition release? Again, fantastic build !!!
Nice work WN, looks like your conversion is complete. [;)]
So this is where you been hidin’ out, eh? [swg]
Seriously, awesome work Marc! Is there any type of model you can’t build? I doubt it! [tup]
Thnaks guys. The fit of the Cav zim was perfect and went down without any problems at all. Onlt needed to use a tiny but of filler to blend some of the edge. Most only need a quick swipe with a sanding stick.
yes Mike this is my secret hiding place[(-D] Believe it or not I am coming back to build an aircrft next… It’s gonna feel weird LOL
Excellent work Marc. You are most definately multi-talented my friend. This Tiger looks the biz.
I saw ‘Kellys Heros’ las night and it had 3 Tigers in it. I believe they might have been T34’s modified but now looking at your Tiger…theres a familiarity (Turret close to the front)
Very nice job fella.
