im wondering if sculptamold would be the right stuff to side my model with since its a wintery setting i thought if i spread it and made it flat enough it would blend in nicely since my model is elevated and has sides i cant just show the bare sides that would look tacky
any thoughts? thanks
i use a product from woodland scenics they call it Snow, but its really called microballoons.
The sculptamold would work good for the battom layer, then you’d have to mix an acrylic matte medium (I use modge podge) wiith some micro balloons. then spead it over the sculptamold. I then sprinkle some more micro balloons on top and seal it with hair spray.
I have seen snow done with plaster and ther is just a look to it that you can tell its too hard, snow is soft, the micro balloons really do a good job.
