Since I’m rather new at detailing I would like to obtain as much info as I can on scribing panel lines on aircraft. [banghead] I’ve done some web searches which have produced some results but not what I’m looking for. Are there any resources that anyone can suggest which would include a pictoral representation of this process? Thanks in advance!
Welcome to the FSM forums.

Well Gareth, like I always say; “If you can’t find what you’re looking for, make it!” [:)] So I illustrated how I do panel lines, using a section from an old tape measure, for flexibility, and a surgical scalpel. (or any good hobby knife) Care must be taken not to press too hard, and not to overlap any more than can be helped.

There are other ways of doing it, but this is what works for me. The main thing is to Practice different techniques and find what works best for you.
Good luck,
Frank
Good morning. There are a couple of people who have posted techniques for scribing here. if you do a search for scribing, you should find something.

Thanks again to all of you who responded to my request. The http://www.swannysmodels.com/Scribing.html site is outstanding, just what I’ve been looking for. I knew I signed on to this forum for a reason. [:)]
