One of the best Star Destroyers I have seen Matt…well done!
Hey Dan is that you? Long time no see lol. Thanks!
WOW, very impressive. What materials did you use? Do you have a build log on line?
Thanks! It is plexi-glass hull plates over an MDF and aluminum armature with styrene skins. The detail is a mix of styrene, kit parts, and resin castings. Lighting is via 5 cold cathode tubes and several LED’s.

Lighting too?!? So cool. I didn’t even notice this in the pictures above.
What type of glue do you use to secure the MDF to acrylic sheet? And MDF to aluminum?
I’ll have to double check the brand but I use a two part epoxy that will bond just about any material. I know I got it from Tap Plastic. The plexi is attached with both epoxy and screws.
Man is that a great looking ship! I use plexi quite abit too because I can get tons of it free from work. How about some close ups of the details?
Very cool!
Yes it is…good to see you and your fab work again, Matt!
Look awesome. I’m going to have to try one of those some day.
Thank you gentlemen. Chris asked about some close up pics, I have a few while is was under construction.

Very, very nice! Very detailed. Looks like it came right from ILM!:9
That is just beautiful. I like it all but that docking bay is a gem!
Yowsa…incredible, Matt!
Wow, the detail (and the time and effort it must have taken) is stunning!
