Scratch-building my Grumman

Last july 10, I started to make perfectly good sheet plastic turn into junk under my desk. And now it is almost finished so here is a video…my first using the video feature of my Nikon 8700…of my Grumman “Alley Cat”. It is in 1:32 scale from drawings scanned from my maintenance manual of my 1:1 scale “toy”.

The electronics in this model were designed and built by Clyde Sasaki of dynamicscalemodels.com so turn up your speakers , click on the photo and enjoy.

Did I say that this is my first scratch-built model???

Well it seems as though the video isn’t working so here a some photos of the “nearly” finished model.

Hey, I like it! That’s cool and a very well done paint job too. I couldn’t scratch build a whole plane, so you have my admiration.

Ps,your avatar pic- go there for pie often? [(-D] come a few miles west and we’ll hit the “touch-n-go”

Drew: We fly into Chilliwack quite often for lunch. It is one of the best airport restaurants around.
