Finished drawings, ready to cut wood. Yes, like almost of my scratch ships I will be building it using the bread and butter method. I found some lovely Aspen, and the thickness matches the lift intervals.
The Clyde puffers were small commercial ships serving northwest Scotland ports from the Glascow area to Lewis Ile and Hebrides. They were called puffers because they were single stage with no condensers- much like steam locomotive, so they had the same sound as steam locomotives. They are no longer in commercial service, but there are several still existing. The most famous is a museum ship, the Vital Spark.
I will be adding a new idea- I will seperate the left and right lifs with a thin sheet cut to the centerline profile.
