how do you get out minor scratches in canopies?
Easy, if they are very minor just dip in Future. If they are more severe then polish with 800 or 1000 polishing stick (will make surface look cloudy) then dip in Future and clarity will be restored.

my monogram spit came without a refractor gun site (it had a solid plastic one !?) so i hade to make one and i grabed the wrong sand paper. I need not say more

I don’t want to hijack the thread, but I have something related.
What about the seam lines in bubble canopies like Hasegawa’s line of F-16’s? Do these seams go all the way through the plastic, or can they too be sanded out? Swanny, any tips? (you da man, love your site)
You can sand and polish it out with a micro mesh polishing kit. theres an article about it in the Jan. 2005 issue of tamiya model international magazine if you can get your hands on one.
