ScaleMaster Decals Sheet #SM-31

Hello, All. I’ve been looking for about 6 years now for the above decal sheet. It’s for the Monogram 1/72nd Convair B-36H Peacemaker('97 release-Kit #5710). The sheet features Red and White candy stripes for the Tail-Band, Landing-Gear Doors, and J-47 Nacelle Intakes. These markings are similar to the B-36H-35-CF (s/n # 51-5734) featured in the Paramount Pictures March 29, 1955 release; “Strategic Air Command” starring Jimmy Stewart and June Allyson. MY FAVORITE MOVIE. This aircraft belonged to the 8th AF, 11th BW, 26th BS at Carswell AFB, Fort Worth, Texas. Accepted in November 1952, and scrapped by Mar-Pak sometime between July 1, 1957 and June 30, 1958 (FY58). ANY reply WILL be taken SERIOUSLY!!!

I remember the movie but not the decal sheet.

I just did a search myself. Not sure why I’d expect to find them if you haven’t in 6 years, but I thought I’d give it a try. Sorry. Nothin’.

Have you contacted Revell-Monogram?

Hello. I tried contacting them about 12-years-ago over a decal sheet from a 1/25th Dragster kit, how each decal I cut out disintigrated upon contact with water. And, the young woman I spoke to on the phone thought I was giving a Mathmatical Thesis on Nuclear Propulsion. I got the info on the sheet (Scale Master #SM-31) from Wayne Wachmuth’s “B-36 Peacemaker In Detail & Scale”. He might know, but I don’t know how to contact him. I’ve been told by several sources that this sheet’s been out of print since the 1980’s. I was hoping someone, somewhere, would have this, and be willing to part with it, for some $. Thanks, Daniel
