im new to scatch building things but im not shoure how do you calculate scale dose any one have any idears [:)]
There, try this…
man i new i should have studie maths at school lol next step is to find me some good photos of what i whant to build that the fun part[:)]
Length: 13.5 Feet
Width: 6.0 Feet
Height: 5.5 Feet
Volume: 445.5 Cubic Feet
Capacity: 21 Combat Equipped Troops
ok can some one calculate this for me there realy size and im doing a 1/35 model
how 2 do scale calculations:
first, convert feet into inches (multiply the # of feet by 12)
then, divide that number by the denominator of ur chosen scale
(in ur case , that would b 35)
13.5 feet times twelve =162 ( prototype dimension in inches)
take that # & divide it by 35…
162 inches divided by 35 = 4.62 inches in 1/35 !
c’mon, u can do it !
frosty[:)]
convert each of your measurements to inches then divide by 35.
i.e. length 13.5 feet X 12 = 162 / 35 = 4.6 inches or about 4 5/8 inches.
Bill
hiya bill!
i guess we both love fun with numbers, eh ?
frosty[:)]
Bill rounded though! I can rarely do that unless there’s more tham 3 digits right of the decimal!
Actuall, dead on 4 5/8"
Good luck on your project Pantherart. I am also not great in math.

Pick up a 1/35 scale rooler from your hobby shop. I have one and it makes figuring out the sizes very easy.
Well, it seems that Frosty and wipw and the rest of the guys have you covered on that one. So I will just say good luck.
Oh btw if you like, I can send you my Excel spreadsheet I made for such calculations.
ive got the Tamiya Scale ruler, the one for 1.35th also covers 1.48th ive got the other one they do its 1.72 and i think 1.12th but thats not to hand so it might be something else[4:-)]
thanks guys ill let ya know how it gose im just trying to find good photos now then to by the things ill need after xmass so its going to be a slow build
