why dont they produce some accessory stuff (jeeps etc) in 1:48? I like to make backgrounds for my 1:48 WWII aircraft pix, but i cant find anything to liven up the scene.
At one time Bandi made some 1/48th armor that included the Jeep and a couple versions of the Half-track but no trucks or 3/4 Ton vehicles. I think someone esle has the molds and a couple years ago I seem to remembr Squadron Shop had them listed in a Monthly Supplement. We sure could use the “bomb” truck with the overhead hoist. I don’t know if it was a 1/2 or 3/4 Ton. Also could use some fuel trucks.
Matador, a ‘garage’ manufacturer from the UK have a number of ‘airfield-friendly’ vehicles from various nations at that scale. The kits are in resin and metal. WW2 stuff only I believe.
For more modern stuff, ESCI used to market NATO crew and airfield accessories. E-Bay would be a good place to look for them.
