Say Hello to Connie !

Leon.

WOW that is a gorgeous build!! I’ve always enjoyed the Connie, she is an interesting bird with great history, your build does it great justice…are those resin stairs? or scratchbuilt?

Thanks, Heath. The stairs came with the kit.

Leon.

Fantastic build! You’ve really done this bird justice. NMF and paint has always been a challenge and you have pulled it off beautifully. Keep up the good work and thanks for the peek.

Great build! Have you seen the Constellation in Aussie? It’s called “Connie” as well! [:D]
Cheers,
John

Yes John, I watch a show on TV of a crew restoring her, and then flying her from the states. Very good program to watch.

Leon.

HELLO CONNIE!
WOW!
Dayaaam!

I was stunned by the first two pics then I saw the ramps, WOW!

Woooah… beautiful build Leon! Thanks for showing it! [:)]

Take care,
Frank

Oh, yes please…
The Constellation and Super Constellation were simply the ultimate in Piston engined commercial transport…
Great looking model. Well done.

Nice looking Connie mate. Here’s a pic of the Aussie one that John Forster was talking about. I took it at a recent airshow. I live not far from where it is based, and see it everytime I drive past. Thanks for the pics.

Stunning build , nice to see a civilian plane , great job!!

Staff Sargent

May I say that that is a fantastic bird youv’e got there. I am working on the EC-121 which is the miltary version of the connie. Mine is 1/72, is that bird 1/72 as well?

It’s fantastic, simply fantastic !

Very nicely done. Great job on the NMF & white, two finishes I struggle with still. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice build, Leon! The Connie is a majestic plane, and you’ve done it justice.

Mark

Really, really nice job on the Connie. I love the TWA markings. NMF and white finishes are difficult by themselves and extremely tough when done on the same airframe. You did well.

Excellent build. A great looking Connie.

Awsome Build!!! In Toronto We have a complete Super Connie at the airport that has been turned into a Bar. What did you use for the silver Paint? It realy looks like Aluminum

man that sure does bring back some memories and nightmares. i worked on a few of them for AA. thier not the easyest to load bags on and they are very weight resricted. you ought to see the connie taxi out it looks like a big ol rocking horse going down the runway. a very nice build thier,[:D][:D]

Bill.
