It was all about the “Red October” training program where US fighter pilots (they were all F/A-18 drivers in the film…maybe others go as well) go to Germany and train against German pilots flying Fulcrums and F-4s as adversaries. The in-cockpit footage was amazing, especially the over-the-shoulder footage. I had not heard of the Red October program before, but it’s similar to Top Gun’s ACM training.
Anyway, it was very interesting. Hopefully it will be re-broadcast.

I second that one. I’m sure it’ll be shown again, because I saw it, or parts of it, several times last year when it was still the Wings Channel. It’s definitely one of the better offerings on that channel.
