Saving Soft Resin

I was unaware that Brake Fluid would have such an effect on resin, but appearantly my Armorscale mantlet was damaged when I soaked it to remove paint. The gun housing is totally flexible, able to move a full 5mm either direction. Furthermore, it appears to have contracted slightly, leaving an opening too small for the metal barrel. How do I fix this? Should I try to cast a new part? Or buy a new set?

Tiger I 1/35 BTW.

Any suggestions?

I would let it sit and see if it solidifies again. If the barrel opening is still too small, you can always drill it out a little to make the barrel fit. If it doesn’t get hard again, I think you need a new piece.
