can anyone tell me where on the internet i can find a scale drawing of the saturn v which includes the size of the body tubes and how many tubes it takes for a 1/72 saturn v. i would like to make a scratch saturn with my grandson. thanks for any help. terry[:I]
I’m not real sure what you mean by “tubes”. If you’re talking about stages, there were 3, with the 3rd stage containing the Lunar Lander and Command Module. As for scale drawings, have you checked with any NASA sites. I have a kit at home, I’ll see if it would be of any help with the instructions, but probably not. I’ll see if I can’t find something else out too.

It is found within NASA’s main site, www.nasa.gov. They are doing an historical look at the Apollo program. You should get some good info here. I’ll check back later to see how you fared.

Go to apollo maniacs! Anything you want to know about the Saturn 5 or Apollo is there. From there you can find all you kneed to know to scratch build a 1/96 scale Saturn 5 .
Also check out the book ‘Rockets of the World’ by Peter Alway. Great reference, with scale drawings.

try looking into the ship modeling arena alot of ships models are 1/96 scale and they have accossories for them, so try there and then you might have to slightly modify them to fit your needs also model rail roading is another area to lokk into because the figures are very close but their scale is 1/87 (HO Scale)
