Satin Clear Coat Spray?

I’m working on a Sopwith Camel and have a question about clear coating it. For glossy finishes I use Tamiya TS-13 clear spray (I don’t have an airbrush). But I thought a WWI plane would look better with a satin finish. Is the Tamiya TS-79 semigloss clear a good choice? I’ve also seen Krylon and Rust-oleum satins as options. What would you recommend? Thanks!

Also, should I clear coat again after the rigging is on?

They sell acrylic clear spray at Hobby Lobby (Gloss, Satin, and Matte). It’s reasonably priced ($5-$7) and sprays great. Been using it for several years now.

If you try the clear acrylic coating from Hobby Lobby, please test it first before spraying your model with it. I have had issues with some acrylic paints and some enamels.

If I want a satin finish, Vallejo is all that I use. A tough as nails coating.
