Sandbags and Panther Tank

I’m looking to add some detail to a Panther and I’m curious to know if anybody has any photos of Panther tanks with sandbags to protect them?

I don’t think they needed them for protection against allied armor, like allied armor needed protection

I’ve never seen a photo of anything added to a Panther for protection, lots of stuff added to hide the vehicle, but not actually for physical protection.

I believe that tracks on the turret were used as armor of a sort. I have never seen sandbags on any German tank, especially a tank like a Panther. True they really didn’t need it against Allied armor.

Sandbags on a Panther is a definite no-no.

Besides did sandbags really stop anything with the exception of small arms fire?

Thanks for the feedback. Response was pretty much what I expected. I have extra tracks hanging off of turret.

i’ve never seen any german or russian tanks with added armour. I have seen Shermans with sand bags, wood, and tracks though.

I have photos of Russian tanks with extra armor added from cut-up pieces from wrecks welded on the vehicle, T-34s in particular.

What about the bed springs and frames the russians flixed to some tanks to stop Panzerfaust/shrek rounds.
