I have been reading some of the Emails in the forum and I keep seeing referances to 1000, 1500 and 2000 grit sand paper. I went to Lowe’s Home Depot and the highest grit is 600. Anybody know were I can purchase these higher grit papers?
Thanks[8D]

Go to www.micromark.com. They have a complete polishing kit with the sandpaper grades you are looking for. And they are plastic-backed for repeated uses.
Chrysler,
I got my polishing kit at HobbyTown. If I remember correctly it contained polishing cloths that ranged from 3600 up to 12,000! I think it contained something like six grades in-between that range. You’ll pay around $20-$24 for it. When I did that I was like “OUCH!” but once I used it I thanked God that I purchased them! Once you use them you’ll see what I mean.

Mopar man, go to any auto parts supply store or an auto body outlet. 8 X 11" sheets should cost about sixty cents to a dollar a sheet. Happy hunting -BT.
