San Antonio LHS recommendations?

So I know there are a few people on here who hail from in or around San Antonio. Hoping y’all can help me out.

I’m going to be in SA on Saturday for a friend’s wedding. Planning on leaving Austin early and swinging by a LHS just for kicks. If I have time to swing by just one, which would you recommend?

You have three options. Hill Country Hobbies is the best one. It’s run by a retired AF vet and he gives a 10% Military Discount. He has all the good new stuff plus some older stuff. There is even a consignment section where you can find some good bargains.

Second option is Dibbles. It’s an old style hobby shop with lots of old stuff with some new kits sprinkled in. Lot’s of train stuff and gaming/fantasy stuff too. Kinda hard to find.

Third is HobbyTown USA. A pretty good HT, but kit prices are way to expensive. Best selection of paints and tools, though.

Too bad I’ll be in NYC Saturday, I’d meet you there. Have fun and if you go to Hill Country Tell Gary Scott sent you.
